Can I measure a distance on the plan?

Yes. Choose Measure or press M, then click two points or drag between them. Choose body gaps, seating gaps, centers, or free points. Save a named dimension to keep it with the plan, or preview an exact gap before moving one item.

  1. Choose Measure and select the start and end references. Space pans, Alt places a free point, and Escape cancels.
  2. Read the basis beneath the distance. Body gap measures furniture edges. Seating gap requires a depth beyond each table and records whether it is assumed, measured by you, or provided by the venue.
  3. For an exact gap, choose the item to move and enter a target such as 4 ft or 1.2 m. Preview the move, then Apply. Undo restores the previous position.
  4. Give the dimension a name and choose Save dimension. Choose Venue setup with dimensions when exporting the selected measurements and their assumptions.

An uploaded image needs calibration before it can report real distances. A freeform plan reports model distances with venue scale unverified. Estimated seating space stays marked estimated. Guest names and label sizes never determine clearance.

Saved dimensions follow their references as the layout changes. If an item is deleted, the dimension needs repair: choose another reference or remove it. View-only visitors can inspect measurements but cannot save changes or move furniture.
